Region of Waterloo Public Health and local Ontario Health Teams will host a town hall on Wednesday, July 27, for parents and caregivers regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for children, five and under.
In partnership with the Region of Waterloo Public Health and KW4 Ontario Health Team, the Cambridge North Dumfries Ontario Health Team (CND OHT) will host the Public Town Hall from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Parents, caregivers and the community can join the link here where they will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about COVID-19 vaccinations approved in Canada with expert panellists of local health care professionals, including Dr. Sharon Bal, a family physician in Cambridge.
“Parents and community members have been anxiously awaiting the announcement of vaccine eligibility for their children ages five and under. Many are seeking information on how to access these vaccines, on dosing schedules, and on what's right for their family,” said Bal, lead physician, CND OHT.
“This joint-OHT Community Town Hall with Public Health is a fantastic opportunity to hear from experts and to have your questions answered.”
The Cambridge North Dumfries Ontario Health Team is a collaborative of 30+ health and social service provider agencies from Cambridge, North Dumfries and the Waterloo Region that envisions a community where people access seamless and integrated services to ensure the health and wellbeing of diverse populations.
The Ontario government introduced Ontario Health Teams to support a connected health care system centred around patients, families and caregivers. Ontario Health Teams aims to strengthen local services, making it easier for patients to navigate the system and transition between providers.
