It's time to dig out your best photos, Cambridge.

The city needs your help to light up Canada Day with an animated show projected on the Idea Exchange Old Post Office building on Water Street.

Who wouldn't want to see themselves displayed in grand scale on the landmark heritage building on the banks of the Grand?

The city is calling for close-up portraits and close-up action shots of one or two people.

Anyone looking for inspiration can visit one of three Canada-themed art installations to take a selfie.

They include Danny Ingrouville's art installation "Controlled Chaos" across from the Farmers' Market on Dickson Street, Graffiti Wall at 19 Queen Street, or a Canada Day backdrop that will be set up at the Central Park gazebo at 615 King Street East.

Submissions can be uploaded here and must have a maximum file size of 10MB.

Subject to provincial and municipal public health guidelines, the Canada Day Old Post Office Projection Project will run from July 1 to July 7.

Residents are invited to submit a photo by June 15 to be included in the exhibit.

Other Canada Day events in the works include a fishing derby, a flyover by the Waterloo Warbirds, and virtual heritage bingo.

A full list of events is available at cambridgecanadaday.ca.
