Following 11 recent overdoses at the Kitchener Consumption and Treatment Site, Waterloo Region Integrated Drugs Strategy issued a warning to the community.

Between Feb. 27 and March 1, there were 11 overdoses reported, several of which required “multiple doses of naloxone,” explains a tweeted message.

“There are no reports of a specific colour of substance circulating,” it states. “Substances may be stronger than expected and/or contain substances that cause unexpected reactions. “Dangerous drugs continue to circulate locally causing an increased risk of overdose.”
