Mothers' Day fundraiser aims to help the Cambridge Food Bank

Two types of flowers can be ordered from now until May 2 for pick-up starting May 9

Anyone looking for a Mother’s Day gift that alwo supports a worthy cause can order pots of bellflowers or summer hyacinth plants from the Cambridge Food Bank. 

The organization that provides food security to hundreds of Cambridge families is taking orders from now through May 2.

A 4-inch pot of bellflowers is $12 and a six-inch pot of ‘Sun Star’ ornithogalum plants are $15 each.

Every plant purchase helps provide essential assistance to families in the community, ensuring they have access to nutritious food during challenging times.

Once orders are placed, pick up is available at the Cambridge Food Bank, 54 Ainslie St. S., on Thursday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., or Friday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alternatively, customers can email [email protected] to pick up your plants from our Thursday or Friday Mobile Food Market locations.
