The Mill Race Park Amphitheatre will be closed to the public beginning the week of October 2 for construction.
Work will be done to replace the wood seating and wood stairs, as the existing wood timbers are naturally deteriorating.
Public access to the park will be maintained in the surrounding area, however the pathway directly adjacent to the construction area within the park may be closed. Event bookings in the amphitheatre have been blocked off for October and November.
The public will see construction fencing and signs in place over the next few days, and are asked to stay out of the construction zone until all fencing has been removed from site.
The work was approved by council as part of the 2023 capital budget process, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2023, subject to weather conditions.
