The city says a mechanical failure has forced the closure of Ed Newland Pool for the rest of the day today and all programming has been cancelled for tomorrow until an assessment can be made.
The city says it will provide an update, as this is an evolving situation.
The 90-year-old Preston pool was completely renovated last year to the tune of about $1.2 million.
