The Gaslight District is hoping to help sports fans enjoy the beginning of new hockey and basketball seasons.
Home to the largest outdoor screen in Canada, the public square will be the site of watch parties for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors season openers this month.
On Wednesday, residents can view the Maple Leafs taking on the Montreal Canadiens at 7 p.m.
On Oct. 23, the Raptors get its season underway when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m.
Both events are free and tailgate style with set up beginning one hour before the start of the game.
Those planning on attending are encouraged to bring their own food, drinks, grills and decorations. Grills must be placed on cardboard to avoid oil spills.
Tailgates will be happening rain or shine.
