Galt Collegiate Institute in Cambridge was placed into a hold and secure around 10 a.m. Thursday.
The threat condition keeps students and staff safe within classrooms while police respond.
No other details have been provided yet by the public school board, other than confirmation in a tweet that the hold and secure was lifted shortly before 11:30 a.m.
Waterloo Region District School Board says it will update its website and social media accounts as more information becomes available.
At this point, Waterloo Regional Police have also not provided any details.
