Spooks and ghoulish fun await you at Region of Waterloo Museums this Halloween season. From family fun for all ages to bone rattling adults-only bashes, this year’s lineup offers something for every age.

  • Fun Filled Family Fiesta (Oct.19 from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at McDougall Cottage – Cambridge) Bring the whole family for pumpkin bowling, skeleton hand toss, crafts and treats.
  • Chilling Candlelit Evening (Oct. 19 & 25 from 7-10 p.m. at Schneider Haus – Kitchener)
    Hear haunting stories of historic events and supernatural experiences.
  • 5th Annual Halloween Kids Party (Oct. 26 from 2-7:30 p.m. at Schneider Haus – Kitchener) Trick or treat at the historic site, explore the haunted forest, and visit the wand shop.
  • To Hell with the 90s Adult Dance Party (Oct. 26 from 7-11 p.m. at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum – Kitchener) Unleash your inner ghoul at the ultimate 90s Horror Dance Party!
  • Creepy Critters and Spooky Spirits (Oct. 27 from 10-11 a.m. at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum – Kitchener) Get up close to scaly, slithery reptiles from Sciensational Sssnakes.
  • Halloween Tea by the Grand (Oct. 27 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at McDougall Cottage – Cambridge) Enjoy this spooktacular tea celebrating the coming of Samhain with special Halloween treats.
  • “The Dark Side of Galt: Haunted Halloween Edition” Evening Walking Tours
    (Oct. 30 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at McDougall Cottage – Cambridge)
    Explore tales of the ghostly inhabitants that make up Galt's downtown core. 
  • Bloody Berlin Walking Tour (Oct. 31 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Schneider Haus – Kitchener)
    Explore downtown Kitchener's back alleys and side streets by lantern light... if you dare!

The Region of Waterloo Museums & Archives operates four experiential sites throughout Waterloo Region. Together, Doon Heritage Village, Schneider Haus, McDougall Cottage and the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, tell stories from this region through educational and public programming, events, and over 60,000 artifacts.
