NEWS RELEASE
CITY OF CAMBRIDGE

Snow Event Declared starting Tuesday, January 28 at 11:59 p.m.

The City of Cambridge has declared a Snow Event. Starting Tuesday, January 28 at 11:59 p.m., this means:

  • An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event, which is in effect for 24 hours from the start time. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
  • Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall. Snow should not be shoveled onto the road.

City snowplows are already out clearing roads. They do so based on provincial guidelines and a priority schedule with primary and secondary roads cleared first and residential roads cleared last.
