210 Water St. S boat launch site will see a face-lift paid by the federal government.

Residents using the Paris to Cambridge Rail Trail will need to be aware of potential closures beginning March 1.

A portion of the trail will be shut down intermittently between 210 and 220 Water St. S. as work is completed on the Grand River Access Point project.

The project is designed to rejuvenate the visitor experience along the Grand River.

The goal of the project is to create a series of access points throughout the watershed. Cambridge specifically will see improvements to the canoe launch ramp on the trail, a bench seating area and additional parking.

Input from the public was gathered during an information session that was held on Jan. 11.
