The Six investigates the story behind six Chinese survivors of the sinking of the Titanic, one of whom settled in Cambridge.

The City of Cambridge, in partnership with Immigration Partnership, is hosting a screening of the film The Six at Galaxy Cinemas, in Cambridge Centre Mall on Wednesday, December 14, from 6-8 p.m.

The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the film’s director, Arthur Jones.

The Six was produced by Oscar winning Canadian director of the Titanic James Cameron and is about six Chinese survivors of the Titanic. One of survivors, Lee Bing, ended up settling in Cambridge. It is a powerful story of survival and dignity in the face of racism and anti-immigrant policy.
