The City of Cambridge has launched a second survey to gather further information for the development of its parks master plan.
The plan will guide the planning and operations for all the parks in the city for the next 30 years with the goal of providing a framework to manage existing parks and developing new ones that fit the needs of the community.
Through the first survey, the city says it received feedback on what residents would like to see added or included in future park construction. In addition to the online survey, a public information session was held back in March that included a presentation and the opportunity for small group discussions.
It was noted that more shade structures, seating options, path systems, natural areas, parklands and washrooms are needed and that upgrades to certain park equipment is required.
Spaces for sports such as pickleball, tennis, and cricket, and different types of recreation such as disc golf and skateparks was also a suggestion the city received.
The second survey will run until October 1.
