Kevin Lahey of Cambridge is extra ‘merry’ after winning a Merry Millions prize worth $100,000 in the Jan. 9, 2024 draw.
Kevin said he’s been a regular lottery player for over 20 years and his favourite games to play are Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49. He saw advertisements for Merry Millions and decided to try it. “I checked my ticket using the OLG app and thought I won $100, so I went and grabbed my glasses,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I saw $100,000, I was so excited!”
Kevin said the few people he told about his win thought it was a joke and didn’t believe him at first. “They were all so happy for me. It was nice!”
He plans to put his winnings toward retirement and his future. “I will let this settle in before making any other decisions,” he concluded.
