The Cambridge Food Bank is providing free educational activities to youth in the community this spring.
Registration for its child and youth programs is now open.
Youth can learn about kitchen safety and the importance of nutrition. Family workshops that are designed to foster teamwork and a sense of connection are also being run.
Activities will take place at a variety of locations for residents aged four to 18, including at the food bank, Forward Church and virtually.
Aside from the programming, the food bank is looking for donations as sorting volunteers have been put on hold due to a lack of incoming food.
The stuff-a-van initiative returns to Zehrs at 400 Conestoga Blvd on March 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone shopping, if they're able, can pick up items to donate. The most needed items are soup, cereal, sandwich spreads and peanut butter.
Families interested in registering their children for the free spring programs can contact Vanessa at 519-622-6550 ext 109 or [email protected].
