Cambridge celebrates Canada Day in style

The annual Canada Day celebration runs into the evening in Riverside Park

Thousands of residents have made their way to Preston to celebrate Canada’s 156th birthday.

The annual Canada Day festivities began in the morning with the children’s fishing derby and was followed by a parade down King Street East.

When the parade wrapped up, the crowd made its way into Riverside Park for kids activities, a Cambridge 50th anniversary display, rides, food trucks, vendors, music and an adult beverage station.

Activities continue throughout the day and will conclude with a fireworks display just after 10 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled for July 2.
