Blair Road Public School is the latest Cambridge school to announce a COVID outbreak in a single student cohort after a case reported over the weekend was linked to a previous case.

No additional staff or students are required to isolate.

Waterloo Region Public Health has completed their assessment and no further close contacts have been identified.

Public health notes the outbreak is related to this specific cohort only. It is not a school-wide outbreak.

The school board says facilities services will continue to thoroughly clean the building, paying attention to common areas and touchpoints in accordance with Public Health guidance and recommendations.

Other Cambridge schools in outbreak include two students in one cohort at Preston Public School, two students in multiple cohorts at Glenview Park Secondary School, and two students in one cohort at Southwood Secondary School.

Public Health declared a student outbreak at GCI over last week.
