Special weather statement in effect for:
- Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
- Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
- Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County
Very strong winds today.
Very strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h are forecast to develop this morning. These strong winds will continue through the day before weakening this evening.
The strongest wind gusts are expected over the Bruce Peninsula, portions of the Dundalk highlands as well as parts of the Niagara Peninsula.
Some damage to tree branches may occur as well as some local power outages.
