The following letter to the editor was submitted to CambridgeToday by John Drummond:
RE: Recent Letter to The Editor "Police could be asked to solve more than just crimes."
This was possibly the worst, most hateful diatribe I have ever read in a local newspaper.
To start with, George Floyd was killed by police in the USA and has nothing to do with how Canadian police operate.
The rest of this inane rambling was an insult, not only to police, but to any right thinking Canadian resident and does nothing but foster misinformation, bias and hatred towards police and public policy.
I am extremely disappointed that you would let this type of hateful letter in your publication and urge you to please be more careful about spreading this type of unrest and hate.
