CambridgeToday received the following letter in support of Jim McLeod and his wife Joan seeking to be housed in the same long-term facility.
I am writing in support of Jim McLeod (no relation) and his attempt to get our provincial government, after six years, to permit both him and his wife Joan to be housed in the same long-term facility in Cambridge.
It is totally unacceptable and a very cruel way of thanking residents of Ontario for many years of continued support and hard work.
It is time, Dougie, for you and your merry band of men and women to do the job you were elected to do: looking out for and looking after the needs of all Ontario residents.
Six years is a very long time for a couple in their golden years to be forced to live in separate facilities.
There is no excuse for this abuse. Surely Something can be done to remedy this situation ASAP. Enough is enough.
