The members of the Cambridge North Rotary Club would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website and invite you to check out our vibrant club.
Here are some fun facts about our club:
- Guests and visitors are always welcome to join us for lunch, fun and fellowship at no cost.
- Each meeting includes lunch, updates on our local and international charitable projects and a guest speaker on a variety of topics … oh and lots of laughter.
- Originally charted in Hespeler in the 70s, our meeting location has moved as the City of Cambridge grew to where we now meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at the Galt Country Club from noon to 1:30pm.
- Men and women from all walks of life are welcome. We only ask that you have a heart for helping others, especially youth.
- Our clubs’ vision is to help youth any way we can here in the Cambridge community and throughout the world.
- As the first service club, founded in 1905 by Paul Harris, a Chicago business man, Rotary is dedicated to helping the less fortunate. We are anchored by our 4-way test, that is as valid today as it was over 100 years ago.
Always on the lookout for “Service Above Self” minded people, there’s no obligation or expectation. Simply show up and introduce yourself. We’d love to meet you!
Becoming A New Member
Clubs around the world have found it's useful to assign new members a mentor. The mentor would be someone who has something in common with the new member, has a welcoming personality, is committed to the club's growth, and is knowledgeable about rotary.
Your Mentor will:
- Be a contact point for you
- Check in with you regularly to make sure you’re comfortable
- Introduce you to other club members
- Show you where to find Rotary tools on My Rotary, including Club Finder and the Learning Center, and any other apps the club uses
- Talk to you about open roles you could fill
- Invite you and your family members to attend the district conference
- Accompany you to events
Your time, energy, and a passion to improve your world are all you need to get involved with Rotary.
